As I already mentioned we had been looking for a boat for around five years. Attending boat shows, doing lots of internet research and stepping on boats being offered for sale.

It gave us a really good idea of what we wanted in a boat. In August we closed on our house, sold our ZL1 camaro, and went boat shopping in earnest. We went to Florida in spite of COVID-19 and had a really good time.

Our anniversary is 8/19. The first day we boat shopped was 8/19 and we bought the first boat we stepped on on 8/19. We had been making jokes that we would find our boat on our anniversary and then we went ahead and did it!

We spent a total of three weeks in Fort Lauderdale and St. Augustine. During that time we had a survey done on the boat, got some things fixed and made the final offer. On September 23rd we became the new owners of “Pacific Cool” (and promptly renamed her).

SV LeaLou is officially ours!
